Adele Rocks March 2012 Issue of Vogue
Dang, girl. After last night’s sweep at the Grammy Awards, I’m thrilled Anna Wintour had the foresight to realize Adele should be the cover girl for March 2012. Take a look at the cover, then we’ll talk.
Holy hoots, Adele!

As much as I adore having Adele on the cover of Vogue, I’m puzzled. Girlfriend looks mighty slim. Having said that, I do realize she had throat surgery, which probably made it difficult to eat normally. But did the powers that be Photoshop Adele, as well?

See? The thing is, it was just last night on 60 Minutes that Adele told Anderson Cooper the following:
“I’ve never seen magazine covers or music videos and been like ‘I need to look like that to be a success,’” Adele, 23, “I don’t want to be some skinny mini with my t*ts out. I really don’t want to do it and I don’t want people confusing what it is that I’m about.”
This Vogue spread seems contradictory…quite literally. I hope Adele has not succumbed to the pressures to be itty-bitty, because that would be unfortunate. Don’t get me wrong! Adele looks gorgeous..bloody gorgeous. I’m just a little worried.
What do you think?

I suspect that stars have little control over what kind of editing the magazine uses on them. The picture was likely just as surprising to Adele as to all of us. I hope she doesn’t feel the need to slim down; she pulls off her weight beautifully.
I completely agree with you, Newb. Particularly since Anna Wintour was involved. Nevertheless–she truly looked lovely on the Grammy’s–stunning, actually. The dresses, her hair and make-up? Flawless.
