Ask Jane: Getting your heels into shape
October 1, 2008
Sarah from Brisbane asks,
Jane, after an Aussie winter, my heels are looking worse for wear. How can I get them looking good again?
Pumice stones work really well in getting rid of dead skin cells and softening your feet, as does those little ‘cheese graters’ you can buy in pharmacies and drug stores. I’d always recommend using these implements in the shower or after a long bath. The skin will be more receptive to the abrasion created.
I also slather foot cream on my heels once a week and put on some cotton socks overnight. Come morning time, my heels are back to looking their best.
