Renee, this will depend on where you live. Here in Australia, it’s around two years full-time study, with a mix of practical work experience and theoretical study.

My advice to you would be to contact local colleges or institutes in your area and see what courses are available to you. In the meantime, why not offer to be an intern at your local beauty therapist. You will learn alot by watching the experts, and you may be able to pick up some additional skills that will enhance any study you do.
