Yesterday, we told you the don’ts of lip liner application.  Today, I’ll give you some of my best tips on getting the application just right.

• Dot-to-dot the line.  If you are worried about getting the line wrong, dot around your lip line first and then join the dots.  This will guarantee you a perfect result, every time.

• Always moisturise first.  As we said yesterday, dry lips will result in an uneven application and a patchy line.  Always wash and moisturise your lips before you apply lip liner.

• Lip liner often lasts longer on the lips than lipstick.  To avoid that look where your lip liner is in place but your lip colour isn’t, lightly fill in your lips with the lip liner before you apply your lipstick.  An added advantage of this is that your lipstick will stay put longer if it has liner to adhere to.
