Beauty Stop – 911 Shampoo & Conditioner

Back in the 1990s, I fell in love with 911′s range of hair products. But then, all of a sudden, they stopped selling them in Australia (or at least the shops I visited) and I became a steadfast Kerastase fan instead.

Wandering through my favourite hair care store a few weeks ago, I stopped a stand full of 911. So I snatched up some bottles to see if my memories of this range were still positive.  I bought the formula for Dry / Damaged hair.  My hair is oily but it does have alot of colours in it and the autumn weather here in Australia is drying the ends out.  It’s screaming out for some soft and gentle treatment.

Packaging 4/5

911 Shampoo & Conditioner

Packaging on this is stock standard shampoo and conditioner packaging. My only quibble is that the bottle are opaque and, hence, you can’t really see how much you have left.

Quality

Did my memories stand up to the road test? They sure did. This formula is as good as it was 10 years ago. You only need a small amount to get a good lather with the shampoo, and the conditioner glides through the hair like silk.

My hair feels clean and shiny. And it seems to have resolved my ongoing oiliness. Some weeks I will be forced to wash my hair every day but, with this, I can leave it unwashed for up to four days before it starts to get oily.

Price

At around $12 a bottle, this isn’t a cheap shampoo, but you don’t use much, which always translates to being good value in my mind.

And the results are definitely worth the expense.

Would I buy again?

Absolutely I would. I love rediscovering an old beauty friend. Long live 911!
