This is a special review for us Southern Hemisphere gals who are in the middle of a winter frost.

I trialled Becca’s Avalon Palette and, can I just say, this is probably one of the best winter palettes ever.

As is normal for Becca, the quality of the palette is superb and I love the little mirror (yay for doing touch ups on the run).

As for the colors, they are truly sublime. Each one works perfectly, either on its own for a simple day look, or blended together for one of the smokiest and sexiest eyes this winter.

The creme blush also works extraordinarily well as a lip stain. Just dab on and coat with some clear lip gloss.

I love versatility and this product has it in spades.

The eyeliner was probably my least favorite but I think that had more to do with its presentation. I like my eyeliners in a tube or a pencil, not as part of a palette. But that is most definitely a personal preference.

The only big drawback? The price. At around $80, this is high end cosmetics. Is it justified? For the look, yes. Would I spend money on this type of product regularly? Probably not. This is definitely something you should reserve for those special occasions.
