Beauty Stop Hot Pick – Everyday Minerals Photo Album Blush
The final product I trialled from the Everyday Minerals sample kit was the blush.
Everyday Minerals offer blushes in four categories: matte, sheen, shimmer and lucent. I chose the Photo Album shade from the shimmer family of colours.
This is a very heavily pigmented blush. My mistake, the first time I applied it, was using too much. I ended up looking like a harlot working the corner.
Once I learnt to build up the product slowly, I fell totally in love with it. The shimmer can be subtle or in your face, depending on how heavy handed you are. I found that, during the day, it gave my cheeks a very natural glow and the shimmer highlighted my cheekbones, yet at night I was able to build it up to look like the sexiest vamp in town!
Best of all, I am able to use this product as a lip colour. I just mixed a little of the pigment in with my lip gloss (in a separate mixing bowl of course), and it worked beautifully all day, giving my lips a glow that I just haven’t seen from other products.
Have you guys figured out yet that I am totally sold on Everyday Minerals? Well, I am. Out of all the mineral makeup products I’ve found, these guys have it totally nailed and sorted.
Pros: Lovely colour, doubles as a lip pigment
Cons: Very heavy pigment (although that could be more a problem relating to my application, rather than an inherent flaw in the product).
