I have to be honest with this review. I am friends with the owner of Evil Shades, but this has not influenced my subsequent review of their lipstick.

Packaging

The lipstick comes packaged in a plastic lip balm tube. Which is ok, but not what you normally expect from a lipstick. Twist the tube and the lipstick comes up. It’s very simple and functional packaging, alas, not very sexy.

Product

Ok, this is the BEST red lipstick I have ever tried. Yes, it’s up there with Dior both in terms of pigment and quality. No fooling. It is glorious, amazing and a must-try.

You can smear this on straight out of the tube but I find, with reds, that a lip brush will give you that precision finish.

The colour I tried, Devilista, is a beautiful blue red. It’s luxurious, old-school Hollywood glamour at its best.

Price

I think this is the BEST bit. This will only set you back $4.75. $4.75 for a lipstick that is the equivalent of a Dior? I think you’d be nuts not to grab some.
