Beauty Stop Hot Pick – Guerlain Kiss Kiss Gloss
I’ve been a big fan of Guerlain since I was a teenager. Unfortunately, I can’t afford it most of the time, but when I saw the Kiss Kiss gloss, I couldn’t resist.
First thing is that, as with all Guerlain products, there is a smell. Some love it. Some hate it. I guess I’m kinda indifferent to it. Or I’m so used to it that it doesn’t bother me anymore.
This gloss is super easy to apply. The brush is not unlike Stila’s lip glaze brush, make perfect application a breeze. I have an uneven cupid’s bow that is often difficult to disguise, but this brush made short work of it.
The formula is non-sticky and glides on pretty smoothly. And it’s long-lasting. I first applied it before a lunch with friends and, even after the meal and three glasses of wine, it was still as fresh as when I had first applied. This stuff has staying power which is unusual for a gloss.
The color is subtle enough that it’s not overpowering, but it’s not so subtle that it looks like an insipid balm. This is the kind of gloss I would wear for work and for evenings out, making it pretty versatile.
Overall, I really liked this gloss. It re-affirmed my love in all things Guerlain.
Pros: Precision brush applicator, lovely hue, long-lasting
Cons: Smells a little
