I’ve had a bit of work done on my teeth lately – mostly getting new fillings and a couple of crowns put on – so I decided there was no better time than now to try a home whitening kit.
My teeth are already pretty white thanks to a good dental routine, whitening toothpaste and the occasional use of salt on my toothbrush as a homemade polish. But I was hoping to get them even whiter using the Ionic White system.
This system comes with the ionic white light, three tubes of whitening gel, three tubes of whitening gel accelerator, and a bonus whitening rinse and rinse accelerator that can be used afterwards to maintain the white.
The system is relatively easy to use. Pour a tube of whitening gel and a tube of accelerator into the mouth piece, clamp your teeth down over the mouth piece and switch on the white light. After two minutes, the light turns off. You swish what is left of the whitening gel and accelerator for between five to seven minutes and then rinse. Repeat this whole process another two times and you’re done! Whiter teeth!
Did it work? Absolutely. The results were instant. And, over the following days, my teeth continued to whiten. There was no sensitivity like there is with other systems, which was important to me as I had previously experienced terrible sensitivity when trying to whiten my teeth in the past.
Ok, I didn’t get a perfect Hollywood smile. But, for $30, I am very happy with the result.
Pros: Whitens teeth, easy to do
