My local Kryolan store was having a moving sale, so I finally decided to take advantage and purchase their Paintstick.
Read on for my thoughts of this product.
This comes in a tube. Like an enormous, fat lip balm. You wind the stick up and down to get to the product. I actually really like the packaging on this. It’s compact and functional and reasonably hygienic. Thumbs up from me!
Ok, this is not a product for the faint of heart. If you’re looking for a sheer, natural glow – run the other way. This is heavy duty foundation that will cover pretty much any flaw.
Having said that, it’s very easy to make this look natural. I apply it with a damp latex sponge and I find I can get great medium coverage.
Longevity wise, once this on IT DOES NOT MOVE. Seriously. It’s like welded to the face. Which is great for someone like me who despises touchups.
Although the Kryolan eyeshadows are hideously expensive, this foundation was comparable to Revlon price-wise. Which, given you’re getting a professional product, makes it excellent value.
All up, this was my first foray into Kryolan and I am super impressed. I find myself reaching for this on a daily basis (which is always a good sign).
