Beauty Stop Hot Pick – MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation

I must be the last person on earth to trial MAC’s Studio Fix Liquid Foundation. But I’m sure I won’t be the last. Here is my review.
Packaging
This comes in a glass bottle. Which I like, except for the fact that it’s a little unhygenic to have to stick your fingers or foundation brush into the bottle to get the product out. It’s also messy.
Cheekily, MAC does have a pump for their foundations, however you have to buy it separately. I did, but I must admit that I resent having to buy a pump when I’m already spending a fair amount of cash on the foundation itself.
Quality of Product
This is a lovely foundation. It smooths on nicely, provides medium coverage and, seriously, lasts all day. This won’t slide off your face, oxidise, or fade. The shade it is at 8am is the shade it is at 8pm.
However, I found that application can be tricky. It can look too heavy / caked on. I always apply this with my fingers as I find the warmth of my hands seems to make the foundation easier to spread / blend. I also find that this needs to be set with a finishing powder, otherwise it remains tacky / sticky on the skin.
Aside from the tricky application, which isn’t so tricky after a while once you get the hang of it, this is a great everyday foundation.
Value for Money
You get 30mls of product for around $26 which I don’t find overly expensive, nor cheap. I think this is good value for the coverage, SPF and longevity.
Overall, this isn’t an HG foundation. But it’s a good day-to-day foundation that I will get alot of use from.
