Beauty Stop Hot Pick – Natio Moisturising Lip Balm

I had to attend a training course during the week.  Which was fine, except for the fact that, on Day 1, I arrived at the course, only to realise that I had left my lip balm back in the office.

Natio Moisturising Lip BalmNot wanting to let the day pass without moisturising, I quickly dashed down to the pharmacist to get a ‘throw away’ style balm.  One that would do the job but not cost too much (as I figured I would remember to bring my regular lip balm the following day).  The one that I picked was Natio’s Moisturising Lip Balm.

Well, what a revelation.  This product has a built in sunscreen of SPF 30+ which makes it perfect for summer. I love products with SPF built in.

And it worked beautifully.  The balm itself slicks on easily, leaving your lips totally moisturised and with a slight glossy sheen.  Best of all, it lasted.  I did not need to re-apply until mid afternoon (after copious coffees and lunch).  This product has staying power.

The only negative with this product is that it can have an aftertaste.  I found that, the first time I applied it, within 30 minutes it was like I had morning breath (bitterness).  After a period of trial and error, I realised that the aftertaste only happened when I was heavy handed with the application.  So long as I kept the application light, the bitter aftertaste was not a problem.

All up, for a product bought on the fly, I love this balm.  It’s the perfect product to throw in your handbag and forget about.   It works, is great value and looks super.

Pros: Great moisturing, long lasting, SPF

Cons: Bitter aftertaste
