Beauty Stop Hot Pick – ScandalEyes Eyeshadow
The RosieO shade of Meow Cosmetics’ ScandalEyes range is described as a light coral rose. However, when I got my sample baggie, it looked bright orange. I immediately put it aside, thinking that ‘why in heck would I want to wear bright orange on my eyes?’
Fast forward a few weeks and I decided to have a play around with the shadow, just to see what it actually looked like.
And I’m glad I did, because this is one amazing colour. Imagine one of those glorious summer sunsets, the sky awash with orange and a hint of pink. That’s what this colour looks like on. My green eyes simply pop with having a contrasting shade on my eyelids.
Being mineral makeup, a little goes a long way. These eye shadows are incredibly dense, only requiring one application with my eye kabuki brush. I just dab a small amount and then gently apply across the lid, before blending in a light circular motion.
Best of all, this shadow lasted all day and retained it’s beautiful colour. I’m a BIG eye rubber but I noticed that nothing came off on my fingers. It just stayed put all day and looked as beautiful at 7pm as it did at 7am.
I really loved this shadow. And it proved that you can’t always judge a book by its cover. It’s always worth giving something a try as you never know when you might find a little diamond in the rough.
Pros: highly pigmented, lasts forever
Cons: it really looks ugly in the bag, but is glorious on the skin. Trust me!
