Beauty Stop Hot Pick – Under Your Spell
I recently talked about my pick from MAC’s Magic, Mirth and Mischief collection – Under Your Spell.
I finally got around to writing a product review for this, so here ’tis. I should mention that I bought this product with my own money and am not affiliated or associated with MAC other than being a great big stalker of their collections.
Packaging

The packaging on this is standard MAC fare. Cute black container with a clear lid.
The eyeshadow duo itself is a baked affair with a domed top. It’s amazingly cute and I love looking at how the colours dance in the sunlight.
Quality of Product
The purple shade in this duo is glorious. It’s highly pigmented, glides on easily and, if you use a primer as a base, lasts all day.
The orange shade, on the other hand, I am struggling with. Whilst it works well on its own, it’s almost impossible to layer with the purple. That is, if I apply the purple all over my lid, and try to use the orange in the crease or at the corner of my eye, it simply won’t adhere. Even if I apply it wet.
Hence, it’s safe to say that, whilst I like each colour on its own, I’m not convinced they work well together.

Value for Money
Both colours are highly pigmented. You only need a tiny amount of product to have an impact. Hence, while this is $20, I can’t see myself running out of it anytime soon.
Overall, this is a lovely palette. I just wish that damn orange hue would apply better!
