After achieving much success with MediBeam, I was a little cynical trying Dermalogica’s Special Clearing Booster. How could a cream do what that magical wand did?

The secret with this product is the same as most other topical acne treatments – benzoyl peroxide. The benzoyl peroxide helps to dry out the pimple, whilst the calendula, cornflower and matricaria help to disguise that horrible redness we all struggle with.

I must admit, the cream is very light and can be used under moisturiser and foundation.

I found it worked best overnight. I just dabbed some cream onto the affected areas before applying my night cream, and overnight, the spots disappeared. This is definitely a product that delivers what it promises.

Pros: Very effective, cream is versatile enough to use under foundation or under heavier night creams

Cons: It’s a cream – do I really need enough cream when there are Medibeams about?
