Lipsticks and Lightsabers is one of the most amazing blogs out there.
Anastasia is a 22 year old Brit with a flare – no, make that unadulterated pure talent – for makeup. She’s also a really proud nerd. As her byline says, ‘I, and my nerdy brethren, want to look pretty while we’re pwning your a**’.
What I love about Anastasia’s blog is her attention to detail and the meticulous way she documents her looks. I don’t have the skill to copy her looks precisely, but at least I know what products she uses. She also provides some of the best product reviews out there. This is a girl who genuinely cares about doing honest and thorough reviews.

“Unadulterated pure talent”, eh? I should put that on business cards.
I often worry that my EOTD descriptions are just nonsensical, (how do you document “er, just keep redoing this bit whilst watching old Angel episodes and eating fruity mentos until it looks something like that ^” clearly?) so I’m glad they make sense to someone.
Thorough, yes. That’s a great word, and much better than “Well, she does go on a bit” (as evidenced by this tl;dr comment). Right. I’ll shut up.

Love Anastasia’s website. As evidenced by the above comment, Ana is forever modest, yet not afraid to speak her mind. She’s not a brand junkie, she doesn’t mindlessly follow trends and churn out reviews that all sound as if she’s a paid sales consultant (she’s not afraid to publish a ::gasp:: negative review!)I also love the fact that she often features lesser known brands- though my bank account may not love it as much! Definitely a geek after my own heart!
