Ever since Avon launched mark., I’ve been a big fan. My mom, I mean Santa, likes to put mark. products in my stocking every year and this year I received a few Juice Gems:

Juice Gems – $7.50

Juice Gems is a flavored high-shine gloss that is made with real fruit extract. Because it’s made with real fruit extract it has a fabulous juicy flavor.

I’m currently enjoying the ‘Juicy Fig’ because its a perfect go-to nude gloss. It’s hard to find a gloss that has high shine but still moisturizes and is not TOO sticky. Juice Gems have the perfect combination- definitely a must have for your purse and makeup bag.

Forgive me, Lipstick Lovers for I have sinned. I am cheating on what used to be my favorite lipstick, Diva by MAC Cosmetics. Over the past three weeks, I have fallen hard for another. His name is Tom Ford, and the shade is called Black Orchid. I was presented with this lush and luscious lipcolor for my birthday; I have not touched my MAC ever since Tom Ford touched me.

Tom Ford Private Blend Lipstick in Black Orchid – $45 – Neiman Marcus

This. Lipstick. It’s not nearly as purple as the one I’ve left behind, which means Black Orchid works with nearly everything you wear. The texture is smooth, creamy and still rather matte in finish. How on earth did Tom Ford manage this feat?

I’m smitten.

I worry this exquisiteness-in-a-tube has already become a bad, bad habit . But is there one man or woman alive who can say “no” to Tom Ford? I doubt it.

We’re seeing a LOT of bright colors — make-up, anyway — on the runways and concert stages right now. I haven’t seen much of the tangerine-hue on the streets of Seattle on grown women, I must say, but I let’s discuss it anyway, shall we?
