Benefit’s Confessions of a Concealer-holic is like my makeup superhero.

If I wake up in the morning, and there’s a hot mess happening on my face (it happens more often that you think), this is what I turn to.

There is so much controversy about this product. People seem to either love it or hate it.

Read on to see what I thought.

Packaging

This comes in a little tub with a spatula. It’s very cute but it’s not the optimal packaging. The pot is quite deep which makes it difficult to dip into.

I find the spatula to be quite useless. Does anyone else feel the same or do you like it?

Product

I absolutely hated this when I first tried it. I applied it with a concealer brush and it just seemed to sit on top of my skin. I put it away and wrote it off as a (costly) mistake.

Then a friend, who is a makeup artist, taught me how to use it. She advised me to dab it on with a concealer brush, but to then blend the product in with my finger. She said the key to it working is warmth. If you blend with warm fingers, it will absorb into the skin.

Oh wow! Once I did that, I could finally see why people rave about it. It really does hide dark circles and blemishes. I look 10 years younger when I wear this. I love it.

Price

This is expensive. But, based on current usage (and I use it everyday), I suspect this will last me six months. So although it’s quite an outlay, it will last a while.

I know, I know….. another Benefit product.

But really, Benefit have totally nailed the ‘I need some colour’ corner of the winter market. And the packaging is, as always, super duper cute.

This beautiful product is designed to give your skin a beautiful, subtle, healthy glow. I love using this on my legs when I’m not wearing stockings. It camouflages flaws and makes my legs look lean and mean.

If you’re in the Northern Hemisphere, you’re probably in desperate need of some sun right about now. I can’t believe how much snow you guys are getting! I’m truly amazed. And kinda jealous because, where I live, it’s stinking hot day after day and I spend most of the time sweating. Not a good (or glamorous) look.

This set includes everything you need to get that sun kissed glow, and you don’t even have to leave the house. Gold pencil, pink highlighter, bronzer and brown mascara all combine to make you look like you’ve spent the entire day sunning yourself.

The blond starlet is making a name for herself. Amanda Seyfried costarred with Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia and played innocent to Megan Fox’s seductress in Jennifer’s Body. Now she is lucky enough to be the love interest for Channing Tatum in Dear John.

She has some curves and is fearless in showing them off. I like that she isn’t a stick figure and is proud of her body. Amanda always boasts a natural look and is fortunate to have big beautiful eyes. Her brand of choice in making the most of her features is Benefit.

Another new eye primer? Can it measure up to Too Faced Shadow Insurance or Urban Decay Primer Potion?

Benefit sure seem to think so. This promises to keep your eyeshadows in place, without creasing, ‘around the clock’.

This is not a new product, but I do believe it’s one you shouldn’t go without.

Benefit’s Erase Paste is an amazing concealer.  It instantly erases dark circles, blemishes and anything else you don’t want the world to see.

Available in three different hues (I love medium for my MAC NC25 skin), it will instantly brighten and lighten your complexion.

I swear, Benefit just toy with me like a cat toys with a mouse. Just when I think I can get away, they go and release another set that I simply must have.

Glam Idol comes with a brightening face primer, a lip shine, and a stain that can be used on both the cheeks and the lips.  It’s the ultimate in glamourous winter wear.
