Another must have for summer is bronzing powder.

I am intrigued by Guerlain’s Terracotta Light Summer Bronzing Powder. Not least because it’s by Guerlain which is one of my all-time favourite brands.

It’s the mix of different shades and shimmer that makes this an uber appealing product. The beauty of the mixed shades is that, when you apply this, you won’t get a uniform colour or ‘hot spots’. This will just give your skin an amazing sun kissed glow.

This is a novel idea: Guerlain’s Le 2 de Guerlain Volumizing Mascara has two brushes to serve two different purposes. Why didn’t anyone think of this before? Plenty of eyeliners have two ends, why not a mascara?

The long traditional brush is used to separate lashes and create volume like you would with any mascara. The shorter, fluffier brush is used second to make sure that every inch of lash is coated with color, even the tiny ones that big brushes have a hard time reaching.

After both brushes are used, the mascara is supposed to give the effect of fake lashes. If it really does, then it would be well worth the somewhat steep price.

If you were to spend nearly four grand on perfume, what exactly would you get? There are two options: approximately 68 bottles of miscellaneous designer perfume of your choosing at $55 apiece, plus tax or one Guerlain 180 Year Collectors Set.

The exorbitantly priced set features 18 one-ounce perfumes dating back to the mid-1800s and spanning nearly two centuries to Guerlain’s most recent perfume, released in 2008.

The set is richly packaged and a beautiful addition to any (oversized) vanity, but unless you’re a dyed-in-the-wool Guerlain addict, this isn’t the way to spend thousands of your beauty dollars.
