Kate in pale yellow Versace

The Versace halter-neck chiffon gown has a graceful, dreamy, sweeping train and straps crossing in the back.  It reminds me of the most perfect lemon mousse I’ve ever had the luxury of being served.  Really.  The exact same color and feeling.  You know, all smooth and silky, sweet yet tangy.  Then you come home, only to realize it’s Kate Hudson in that dress and not ME and get a terrible case of heartburn from eating too much of the lusciousness.

I can’t decide if I love or hate the fringe. It’s great for bangs but bags? It feels like something I would have found fantastic when I was 12 and may have indulged in to try and be a trendsetter at school. I was a bit of a pariah in my small school in which some high school teens drove their riding lawn mower to school. After showing up in wearing a baby pacifier necklace (that would later become the rage of accessories) I was deemed crazy.

So when I see tempting trends like this I remain hesitant. Even with the lure of the Jimmy Choo creation above (available at Saks), I can’t find any lux in it. It seems only fit for a fall afternoon of jeans and a t-shirt shopping style. See Kate Hudson and Vanessa Hudgens below…
