Ah, Natalie Portman is naturally gorgeous and in my travels I have found that people either love her or hate her. I am not sure if it’s due to her outspoken views or the ol’ green eye monster in all of us that leads to the distaste. Inarguably she is gorgeous and has a natural look that is very girl-next-door meets understated glamour.
Her secret is more in her attitude. When asked what beauty tips she recommends to the masses of women wishing to score her look, she said it’s all about you.

“The time you spend on your appearance as a woman – if you pull all that together, you would have an extra ten years to live.”

Sure. When you are naturally gorgeous you can say things like this. For the rest of us, a little mascara and lip gloss can boost confidence. I agree that we should focus on ourselves and make the effort simply to feel good and not to please others.

This look in particular proves the less is more theory can work. Let your features speak for themselves. When applying your make up try standing further back from the mirror. When we get to close we pick apart every feature. Most people we meet in life will not be standing a mere two inches from our face, so give yourself some distance.

This is sadly a miss for Natalie Portman. Her hair is a mess of what I am guessing was an attempt at a curly style.

Her frizz is out of control. The weather can be a hair’s worst nightmare. It can go from well groomed to out of control in minutes with heat or damp weather.

The best and most attractive beauty secret is a smile. No amount of makeup, lotions or potions can be as effective as a smile. While I am sure Natalies lack of smile is not due to a teeth problem, there are still hundreds of ways to make your best asset even more beautiful.
