Self tanners are a great option to forego the damaging rays of the sun and tanning beds. Ever since Coco Chanel stepped onto the scene with her sun kissed skin, a glowing tan is must have for the summer. Since we have entered the height of summer and the 4th of July is now a memory, those tans from enjoying some sunshine at the lake might soon fade. To avoid falling into the downfalls of the lotions and sprays here are some self tanner s.o.s options to fix any mistakes.

• Try a bronzer instead of a self tanner. Most bronzers are a wonderful powdery option that can be easily applied with a large make up brush. A little goes a long way!




• If you find yourself streaking (not glowing) after applying self-tanner, put some baking soda on a loofah, and scrub away the stripes




• Orange hands? Try laundry detergent. Mix a small amount of the granules with water to make a paste scrub your hands gently.




• For a full out removal try lemon. After soaking in warm water to open your pores, rub a lemon on skin to release its acidic juice. Finish by gently scrubbing with sugar or baking soda, and rinse.
