The Costume Institute Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City brings out A-List and their envelope pushing fashion. Instead of trying to play it safe while trying to turn heads at the Oscars, celebs throw caution to the wind and brave the waters of avant-garde looks.

This garb isn’t as kooky as what Lady Gaga would wear to the airport, but it is eye catching. I am interested to see what Joan Rivers will be coming up with when she sets her eyes upon Beyonce’s Givenchy gown. Personally, I love a risqué look and she is fearless when it comes to wearing this see-through creation.

The key here is owning the look. Any signs of timid awareness will ruin the moment, but Beyonce is perfectly unapologetic. She timed it right too. The ‘Halo’ singer was one of the last to arrive and that is what will stick in the media’s mind. This is a hit!
