Whew! Is the circus in town? Tyra Banks went overboard here. She took a fun hairstyle that is meant to be soft yet retro and took it to over-processed town.

Poor Tyra is a miss and a mess this week. I love idea of the crimped hair. It is fun and flirty and reminds me of my younger days in the 80’s. But paired with enough makeup that would make a girl turn on the red light special, it is all just too much.

Less is more and I can’t stress it enough. The fine line between glam and gaudy has been crossed, nay, it has been become a speak as Tyra looks at it in her rear view mirror. Not to mention the fact that everything is clashing. Her cheeks are too bright and not well blended, her lips are overpowering and look terrible compared with the tones of her eye shadow. Remember my golden rule, lips or eyes never both. Accentuate one or the other. When playing with a fun hairstyle like this I suggest a nude or pink lip with soft natural toned shadowed eyes. Or if you are a bit on the younger side have fun with jewel tones, but keep the lips in a natural hue.
