Of all the Fashion Week beauty looks I’ve seen in New York, London and Milan so far this month, the one that came down the runway at Fendi a few days ago may be the loveliest. And “lovely” is really the only way I can think of to describe it accurately.
The hair is soft, natural, and tousled – it was piled in heaps on the models’ heads in a slightly messy way that had tons of style without trying too hard. With a good mousse and some bobby pins, most women with long hair could recreate the look at home with little trouble.
The makeup was natural, but not as minimal as it had been in other shows this week. Smokey, peachy eyeshadow framed both the upper and lower lids along with mascara (but not eyeliner) to make the models’ eyes pop. Cheeks were softly brushed with a bronzey blush and the look was finished with pale, glossy pink lips.
If you’re in Paris in the springtime, this is the makeup that you wear. It matched perfectly with the breezy, Parisian feel of Karl Lagerfeld’s collection for the stories Italian design house.
