I have this and, seriously, I wouldn’t be without it.
The organizer has spaces for pretty much everything you could possibly want to fit, all in a teeny tiny package. Brush holders, removal mesh pouches, even room for foundation.
It’s awesome.

If there’s a beauty brand out there that doesn’t think that packaging is important, I think that the Hourglass Prodigy Hydrating Lipgloss just proved them wrong.

I can’t tell you how long it’s been since I bought a new lipgloss. I’ve been on a bit of a strike since I cleaned out an old purse and found approximately 13 lipglosses that I had completely forgotten I had ever bought - some of them were quite expensive, and I vowed to use what I had for the foreseeable future.

But now…I can’t help myself. I’ve never seen a lipgloss shaped like this, and the odd packaging makes me want to try it out - will it go on easier than other lipglosses? Will it fit more easily into my small clutches? I have so many questions, and it’s easily worth the purchase price to answer them.

This is a lovely primer that glides on easily and works beautifully as a foundation base. And it targets trouble spots (like little lines around my mouth) to perfection.

I’ll admit. I bought into the hype with the Revlon Color Ready Foundation. And when I tried it in the drugstore, it looked amazing. But do I still love it? Read on.

Packaging

The packaging on this is great. It comes with a pump (yay for pumps) which always appeals to me for no other reason than hygiene.

The pump spurts out a whole lot of product though. So be careful, lest you end up with foundation flying across the room. I find half a pump sufficient to work on small parts of the face.

Product

The foundation itself is light and very easy to work into the skin. And it has SPF which gives it bonus points in my book.

And, no jokes, I’ve never had a foundation that gives me such a flawless finish. When I finish applying it, it’s like I have perfect skin. And I most certainly don’t have perfect skin.

BUT, after a few hours, this separates and sits in patches on my skin. You can see where it has melted off and where it sits, tenuously hanging on for dear life. The beautiful flawless finish I had is gone and is replaced with something from a horror film.

Price

In Australia, this cost me $30, which is mid-range, I guess, for foundation.

Unfortunately, whilst I love the look of this when first applied, it has no staying power with my oily skin. So I won’t be repurchasing. :-((((

It seems like they’re everywhere these days, and it’s about time you got on board: minibags are here to stay for a variety of reasons.

First, they’re functional. They leave your hands completely free for shopping, going to a sporting event, whatever you want to do. They won’t slip off your shoulder or weight down your arms.

Second, they’re diminutive enough that you don’t need to feel weird about wearing one in a bright color or loud pattern. A minibag won’t overwhelm your outfit, no matter what it’s made of or covered in.

Third, they’re far less expensive than the average It bag. The Marc by Marc Jacobs Percy Crossbody Bag, pictured here, costs less than $200. Because of their small size, minibags will usually save you a couple hundred bucks over a hobo or tote.

Jennifer Aniston is staring in yet another rom-com film. This time Gerard Bulter is her costar. Of course she is facing more romance rumors as she and her Bounty Hunter hunk appear to have chemistry off screen.

One chemistry that is true and undying when it comes Jennifer Aniston is her hair. From the Rachel that launched layers into a must have at salons everywhere to her golden highlights. I must admit, I copied the Friends do and even got a bob shortly after she rocked the short do on the show.

Her hairdresser talked to Elle about hair color secrets to expect. From Jen’s California friendly, sun drenched strands to the 80’s making a comeback, here is an insider’s beauty tip for hair.

Sun-kissed highlights are always in, but I think platinum one-process hair color has made a comeback and will continue to do so. We’ll also be seeing more cyber ’80s dos with touches of wild pinks, blues, greens, and black in unexpected places, as well as luxe all-over color—think richer reds, deeper browns, and glistening blacks.

Let’s hope the gigantic curly bang will stay in that decade and never surface again!

I know that this is perhaps the most taboo of statements in modern makeup, but I have to come clean. DiorShow Mascara simply does nothing for me.

I’ve bought nearly every version of the stuff, worked with it for weeks at a time, every day. I try to love it. I want to love it. But I just can’t. I have lots of lashes, and DiorShow somehow manages to stick them all together, making me look like I have just four super-thick ones.

I’m not sure if it’s the brush’s design or the formula’s consistency, but DiorShow and my lashes don’t get along in the least. I hope that you guys will still be able to accept me as a beauty blogger after you’ve read this.

If you’re a freak like me and can’t get DiorShow to work for you, try my personal favorite: Chanel Inimitable Waterproof.

There’s not much I have to do here to sell this.
It’s 8 highly pigmented, utterly on trend eyeshadows. For $3.50. You’d pay more for coffee.
Which is why, if you’re a thrifty recessionista, this is the palette for you.

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally, Chanel’s Rouge Coco is here.
For me, the one product I must have from this collection is the Mademoiselle lipstick. It’s already quickly acquiring legend status with beauty experts and, really, I think it’s an instant classic.
Do you have any favourites you’re thinking of purchasing?
