Elliot Stern, CEO of Squish Wines, is in charge of importing the bags, which originate in Sweden, into the U.S. He says it’s a “whole new concept of design” meant to appeal to a classy lady heading out to lunch with the girls or dinner with her significant other.

I’m just going to let that sink it for a moment.  Can you imagine going on a date with your significant other with a box of wine purse?  I’m trying to figure out just how this would work.  Would this sophisticated gal sneak her wineglass under the table and top-off during her elegant meal? Or would she simply put her mouth onto the spout and slurp?

I suppose it would be easier for me to understand if we were discussing a vodka-purse.  Because then, I’d simply brink my elegant handbag to Sonic (with their Ultimate Drink Stop®) and dump it into my Cranberry Lime-aid Slush.
