Helena Christensen’s Collection for Triumph Lingerie

I’m sure some of you remember the gorgeous music video for Wicked Game from the early 90s by crooner Chris Isaak, right?  And the even more gorgeous model with Mr. Isaak? No?  Oh, you don’t even really remember music videos?  Okay.  Well, before drunken teen moms and drunken pregnant gals from New Jersey were on MTV, we had videos.  It’s history lesson time!

The music video of the song was directed by Herb Ritts, shot in Hawaii and featured top model Helena Christensen rolling and frolicking on the beach with Isaak. It was filmed in black and white. Christensen was topless and Isaak was shirtless through most of the video, although clever camera angles concealed any actual nudity.

The video won the MTV Video Music Awards for Best Male Video, Best Cinematography and Best Video from a Film. A previous version of the video was commissioned for the Wild at Heart soundtrack, and was directed by David Lynch.

Pencils down.  Eyes on Helena Christensen!

Helena Christensen in one of her own creations for Triumph

Helena Christensen was one of THE supermodels in the 90′s along with Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista and of course, Naomi Campbell.  Helena was the one with the pale, piercing turquoise eyes, that are still every bit as luminous today.

At 43 years of age, Helena Christensen has managed to stay fit, gorgeous and busy.  A model-turned-photographer, she still dabbles in modeling, and was thrilled to design this collection for Triumph, as she told Vogue UK:

“I was already their campaign girl, but Triumph suggested evolving the partnership and collaborating together,” Christensen told us. “It was such a great opportunity to work with such a traditional, established company and have them support me in making my own line.”

The Helena Christensen for Triumph lingerie collection launches in-store and online in January 2013.

Class dismissed.
