I’ve been keeping a little secret from you…and now is the time to share my covert manicure goings-on. So many people have been questioning me about my nails and for the folks who live near Rose Nails Salon, in Western Washington all you have to do is ask for what has been named The Black Swan Manicure.
Several of you may have seen a similar manicure on Pinterest. I fell in love with it, but didn’t care for the squared-off super-short nails of 2003, so I opted for a slightly longer, oval shaped nail.
The very cool and sophisticated is the addition of the Matte OPI, then topped off with the tips glistening in Black Onyx, which is the main color of the entire nail.
What it is:
A top coat that creates a matte effect when applied to any nail color.
What it does:
This top coat gives nails a matte effect, transforming even the shiniest polishes into nails with a unique flat finish. Its properties as a top coat also protect nails from chipping.
What else you need to know:
“Nails are the hottest new art form,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Executive V.P. and Artistic Director of OPI. “Now, Sephora by OPI makes individualized nail art available to everyone.”
I’ve considered having this process done in a lovely nude look, perhaps Samoan Sand? I don’t know, though. I’m pretty addicted to the drama of the OPI Black Onyx. All. Year. Round. (Again, I could only find this blackest of the black OPI on Amazon. Go Figure.)
