Lana Del Rey is British GQ ‘Woman of the Year’ – Goes Brunette? And Nude?
We all know I love Lana Del Rey. She’s a complete and total polarizing guilty pleasure, isn’t she? Now the American songstress has been given the honour of Woman of the Year by British GQ. Love the jewels.
Lana Del Rey, British GQ “Woman of the Year”
via British GQ:
“When GQ.com interviewed Lana Del Rey back in September 2011, she was seen simply an Instagram-tinted internet sensation constructed from hype, found footage and one quickly discarded sundress. One year on and GQ’s Woman Of The Year is a true pop star in her own right. Having provoked equal amounts of debate and outrage throughout an incredible year, she fulfills one of the key requirements for any good pop star: she gets talked about. Following the all-conquering “Video Games” and her number one debut album “Born To Die”, Del Rey signed to NEXT models, wrote the best song on Cheryl Cole’s last album, teamed up with ASAP Rocky and has acted as a muse and model to Mulberry, Jaguar and H&M. Truly 2013 is hers for the taking.
Read an exclusive interview and photo shoot with Lana Del Rey in the October 2012 issue of British GQ, out 6 September.”
Lana’s go-to stylist, the London-based JohnnyBlueEyes is credited once again for the gorgeous look, and photographer Mariano Vivanco certainly captured Lana’s sultriness in her most provocative shoot yet.
I’m loving her dark hair for fall, though I’m sure we’ll see Lana lightened up again come Spring/Summer 2013!
