Though it is believed that tanning beds increase your chances of developing certain skin cancers, it needs to be recognized that sunshine itself is the actual culprit. Tanning beds offer simulated sunshine. While sun exposure whether it be natural or under tanning lamps has several health benefits there also risks. What can you do these days that doesn’t have risks? I just wanted to clarify that sun exsposure in a tanning bed IS actually safer then under natural sunlight. The reason being that tanning beds provide a controlled environment where exposure can be accurately determined therefore significantly reducing the chance of sun burn and skin damage. So those of you who want to experience the countless health benefits of sun exposure that can not be found in a can, a tanning bed is a better choice then tanning outdoors.
