I’m relieved I hung onto my pointy patent leather pumps, circa 2007, since The Fashion Powers That Be are instructing us to squeeze our hooves into pointy pumps, high AND low again. I hope you still have some pointy patents in the back of your own closets!
My own pointy patent leather pumps by Nine West
I love patent leather. I find it odd when I hear a woman say she doesn’t care for the shiny finish. To each her own, but I’m still giving you the side-eye for not loving elegance of patent leather. It can make a conservative outfit POP with just one special detail.
Point-toe leather shoes by Dune. Crafted from genuine leather with a patent finish. Featuring a sharply pointed toe with a triple bow to the foot, a flat sole and a low heel.
“Following fashion with an individual edge, Dune offers luxury across their collection of glamorous shoes. Defining their customer through attitude rather than age, Dune’s in house design team look to fashion capitals for originality and detail. Luxe finishes meet sculptural shapes across a range of heeled shoes, embellished ballet pumps and jewel hued wedges.”
I adore these flat patent leather shoes with the bows–they are nearly identical to the Valentino pair that I visit and covet at Nordstrom.
Are you on-board with the pointy patent pump?
