As promised, here is The Beauty Stop’s review of L’Occitane Immortelle Flower Divine Lotion. Click HERE for the product introduction that explains the benefits of all 4 new additions in the Immortelle Flower Anti-Aging Skincare Collection…
I tried the Divine Lotion which is designed to maintain a balanced complexion and help accelerate exfoliation while leaving skin feeling smoother and more supple. After my morning shower, I did nothing but apply a few drops of the lotion. It is a thin, clear liquid consistency. I was surprised about the runny factor, but quickly understood as just a few drops patted across my skin was all I needed. (Below are two images, one on my hand to show the consistency and one showing how much I used on my fingertip.)
I loved that a little lotion went a long way. My usual habit includes smearing a moisture balancing lotion over my combination skin. Typically, I have to blot excess oil by lunch time, but this lotion lives up to its name…divine.
The watery consistency is packing a delicate punch of helichrysum italicum extract (the Immortelle flower found in the daisy family). My skin was soft beyond compare with zero oily aftermath! In fact, the feel was more like the softness of a fleece. Seriously TBS fans, I wish the review could somehow feature texture!
By lunch time, it was still incredibly soft. I was also thrilled to find that I didn’t need to blot away excess oil! I’m in love. I wore just the lotion, no makeup or other moisturizers all day. As for the back of my hand (the one in the image showing the consistency), it also reaped the benefits. Insanely soft and just as supple as the skin on my face. To maximize benefits, you should use the Divine Lotion as a great prep for the Divine Extract and/or Divine Cream.
The ingredients label also impressed me. Usually, with plant and flower based products they are last in line on the label. L’Occitane’s flower power is at the top just after water, glycerine and sorbitol. Five different oils/extracts from the plant make up the bulk of the ingredients along with honey.
PROS – Insanely soft skin, a little goes a long way, supple results, amazing skin prep, induces skin equilibrium, smooth finish, extremely light feel
CONS – It is extremely fragrant, but in a clean and understated way. (This could be a con for some, but a pro for others.)
