Now, the fact that I worked in retail in “previous lives” gives me a little bit of a lead on this, but not everyone has the hours of wearing stilettos for nine hours trying to justify how a $1600 men’s suit is “worth the investment”–back in the year 1999.

Some of these items on the list are no-brainers, like buying swimwear in late summer, but some others aren’t so obvious. Time Magazine has given us a great tool that we should save, print and leave in our car. Take a look!

■ Mondays: Shoppers can save nearly 50% on men’s and women’s dress pants, and about 55% on sunglasses.

■ Tuesdays: Expect to save more than 40% on men’s apparel.

■ Wednesdays: Shoppers save about 40% on shoes and children’s clothes.

■ Thursdays: Save 36% on handbags.

■ Fridays: Pay 42% less for jewelry, belts and scarves.

■ Saturdays: Lingerie (37% off) and jackets/outerwear (51% off).

■ Sundays: Swimsuits (52% off).
