The Conair ‘Bun Maker’ – Review
Awhile back, our darling Ashley posted about the “sock bun“–and I was hooked! I have a crap-ton of hair and this summer has been pretty horrid with all the clammy, stagnant humidity we’re enduring in Seattle right now. I just can’t with all that hair sticking to my neck. The only drawback doing the “sock bun” was that I personally needed 10-15 bobby pins to hold all my hair and the sock was heavy. Again, because of the texture and amount of hair I am dealing with, I had to use a giant black athletic sock. If I didn’t pin it within an inch of its life, it simply wouldn’t hold. So, look what I found at Walgreens!
The Conair Bun Maker – Under $3.00
There’s a nice little YouTube how-to video already up, so why should I do another one? Plus, it seems to show up better with beachy blonde hair on-screen than mine would with a plastic bag on my head whilst I’m coloring it with John Frieda Foam Haircolor. Actually, it would be impossible.
What’s really cool about the little “bun” is its texture. It’s rather like a softer light-weight Velco doughnut, if you will. It holds the hair nicely, but without tangling. I do use more than the four pins they include, maybe around six? Not bad at all!
I LOVE The Conair “Bun Maker”!
