Canadian researchers studied the effects of  Botulinum toxin A (Botox), on a group of 18 rabbits over a period of up to six months.Their study, published in the Journal of Biomechanics, found that limbs which had been injected with the substance experienced muscle wastage of up to 50 percent. The most alarming part of the study is the discovery that muscle loss also occurred in limbs that hadn’t been injected – suggesting the harmful effects of injectibles could be spread to other parts of the body. Yikes!
