Tip Stop – Glossy Lids
Glossy lids can either be dramatic or natural. Either option is beautiful and makes eyes pop! This can get a bit messy, but with practice, you’ll look like a runway model in no time!

Prep the eyelid with concealer or eye shadow base to get rid of any discoloration. For a natural look, apply a sheer layer of shimmery champagne colored eyeshadow all over the eyelid. Keep the brow bone bare. For more definition, apply waterproof eyeliner and mascara. Then comes the gloss! Apply a little eye gloss, such as Calvin Klein Eye Gloss ($18), or Vaseline on your finger. Gently pat the gloss onto your eyeshadow. A little at a time. Do not blend the gloss into the eyeshadow or else you will just end up smudging/rubbing off the color. Add some more to the inner “V” of your eyes to really make them stand out!
For a more dramatic look, use a vivid color. However, be forewarned that this requires a lot of maintenance throughout the day. Be sure to bring your gloss with you to touch up!
