Tip Stop – How to Make Your Own Colored Mascara

The colored mascara trend tends to go in and out of style.  However, stars like Rihanna are bringing this look back!  Covergirl’s New Exact Eyelights Mascara and LashBlast Luxe feature a tint of color and a hint of shimmer.  Mascara is already expensive enough.  To get this look without breaking the bank, create your own colored mascara using products you already have at home!

1.  Apply your usual black/brown mascara.

2.  Before it dries, dip a flat eyeshadow brush into a colored eyeshadow and pat on top of your lashes while looking down.

A hint of blue brings out blue eyes.  Green for green eyes.  Purple for hazel and brown eyes.  Make sure the color of your lashes are richer than your eye color (or else they will just blend into one another).  Your lashes are meant to accentuate your eyes!

Nevertheless, have fun and feel free to experiment!  You now have several different mascaras for the price of one!
