What are you willing to pay for moisturizer?

dior-capture-totale

Admittedly, I’m at a bit of a crossroads.

During the winter, I use Dior Capture Totale moisturizer. After trying many different high-end formulas, this was the only one that I found that had a lasting positive effect on my skin. Although I’m in my early 20s, my skin is incredibly dry and I’m prone to blotchiness and flaking.

Dior’s product solves my problems and evens my skin tone without making me greasy, but I have a problem: I’m almost out of it and it costs $125. My income is probably average for my age and education level, and I’m just not sure if it’s in the budget. The only reason I bought it the first time was because I didn’t ask how much it cost before it was being rung up (thinking it would be between $50-$60) and I was too embarrassed to tell the woman at the Dior counter that it was too rich for my blood.

So I bought it, and it’s gone up $10 in price since then, and now I love it and I’m faced with the dilemma of whether I can output that much money on something I smear on my face. It’s not a lot of money for some people, but it is for me. So what should I do? How much does your moisturizer cost?

Sephora, $125.
