Will we be trading our trusty taupe eye shadow for bright yellow this spring?
If top designers have their way, the answer is a resounding “yes, honey.”
At New York Fashion Week, sunny shadows have made us squint at Zac Posen, Peter Som and Doo.Ri, and we’re only on day four.
The man behind two of these looks is makeup artist Tom Pecheux, who drew a banana-shaped arch over models’ lids at Peter Som as a modern ode to the 1960s’ staple flicked eyeliner that rounded out — literally — the designer’s mod minis and shift dresses.
Later the same day, Pecheux used a pop of marigold shadow to add life to Doo.Ri’s purposely washed out faces.
